We were asked to create custom cocktails for a fall wedding. We sat down with the grooms and some additional taste testers to find out what they liked in a cocktail and offer several options. After a few hours of trying different variations on a theme, the Kohn-Fashioned and Dark and Tony were born.
It was well worth the effort - the caterers had to run out to grab more rum and bourbon during the reception!
2 oz Bulleit Rye
.5 oz Rothman Winter Orchard Apricot Liqueur
2 dashes Bitter Truth Peach Bitters
Build drink in an ice-filled old-fashioned glass and give a quick stir. Drop peach slice into glass.
Dark and Tony
2 oz Gosling's Black Seal Rum
3 oz Ginger beer
1 oz lime juice
Add rum and lime juice to an ice-filled collins glass and top with ginger beer. Stir lightly and garnish with lime wedge.
